  • Welcome to my blog!

    I. Love. Photography. I love sharing in a couples special day. I love capturing the love of a new mother and father as they watch their baby sleep. I love the laughter of a high school senior. And the smiles of their parents when they see how much their little baby has grown up. I believe in taking advantage the beautiful weather and landscape South Florida has to offer. I believe family, friends and God make the world go round.

    I love smiling and laughing.
    I love country music.
I love the colors blue, orange and yellow.
I love rainy days when I can watch a movie in bed.
I love cookies and cream ice cream.
And I love the New York Yankees.

I love spending time alone, listening to music, writing or driving around in search of new photo spots. My sister is my best friend and without her and my family I don't know where I'd be.

I'd love to share in your memories. And I'd love for you to sit back and enjoy my images and the random things I'll write about on my blog.

i like it. i love it. i can’t get enough of it.

Ohhhh how I love it. I’m obsessed. And I’ve said it before… but Instagram… you are my best friend. Well, besides me new obsession of Pinterest!

I’ve learned that as much as I love my DSLR, I’m scared of damaging it with some unknown objects in my purse and my shoulder tends to suffer at the end of the day. So I count on my iPhone to do the same job. Well, not exactly the same job, but it serves the purpose and allows me to play around with Instagram and Camera360.

Now that I discovered a Lightroom collage set I’ll be posting more of my Instagrams, as well as other random photos. Be ready!

Here’s the first set.

From Top Left to Right
1. Patiently waiting in the Fort Lauderdale Airport for our flight…. hello coffee.
2. Sitting in the bus on our way to the Sandals Ocho Rios resort in Jamaica
3. Ohhh sun… how I missed you.
4. Biggest Chess board I’ve ever seen outside our hotel room
5. “I got my toes in the water…”
6. Ben and I on New Years – hadn’t posted the picture yet.
7. Sun + Mimosa + Music = PERFECTION
8. My sister and I on New Years Eve
9. Leaving Jamaica.

Can’t wait to post more of these collages. Hope you do too.:)

happy new year

2011 has brought so many wonderful memories into my life.

I’ve traveled, met incredible people through my photography, watched my little sister get engaged, challenged myself both personally and professionally.

And with 2011 hours away from being over…. I look forward to more beautiful memories in 2012. I have a feeling it’s going to be a great year. A year full of more great friends, more travels, more excitement than what ’11 placed in our paths.

I hope every one of you enjoyed the passing year and are just as ready for what 2012 brings.

I’m ready … with open arms.

Happy New Year!

…to 29 more years…

I’ve been meaning to create this post for about 2 weeks now but due to my computer crashing on me …I wasn’t able to scratch it off my to-do list. So here I am …late…like alot of my posts but hey ‘better late than never’.

This year marked 29 beautiful years that my parents have been married. 29+ years since my dad saw my mom in school and told himself he was going to marry her. 29 years since they vowed through thick and thin, sickness and health, to love one another. To cherish and respect one another.

And through their years of marriage they’ve taught my sister and I what love looks like. What love means. They’ve taught us that a marriage takes dedication, patience, commitment, respect, communication, love and plenty of kisses.

Thank you mom and dad for being such incredible role models. For teaching us that true love does indeed exist. And that through thick and thin, sickness and health that we too can make I work.

To 29 more beautiful years.

Love you.

Counting my blessings.

I’m sitting in my car, more like laying as I have the seat reclined back, while on my lunch break. And I can’t help but soak in the feeling of the sun’s rays on my arms. The sound of country music playing through the speakers and enjoying the moment. The moment I have to be alone and count my blessings.

The many blessings we lose sight of each and every day. Blessings like ….a new day. A family that loves me. Friends who encourage me. People who make it a point to let me know they are there. Health. Wealth. Love. God. And so much more.

So as I go to make myself some coffee to stay awake for a few more hours of my shift I’ll continue to count those blessings.

Happy Tuesday.

making memories with Gavin.

This weekend I had the privilege of playing with Gavin and taking family photos for his parents.

I’ve known Brian, for about 6 years now, so when he asked if I could take his family photos I was beyond thrilled. He had recently brought Gavin into work and I just wanted to eat him up. He’s so smart and loving and those dimples… who can resist ?!

We started out at home and made our way to two different parks. You know Gavin had to show off his monkey bar climbing skills. Well more like his “I’ll hold on until daddy steps one foot away and let go so daddy can catch me” skills. He LOVED it. He just laughed and smiled and enjoyed himself more than I thought he would, considering he had just woken up from a nap.

The whole session was more than I expected. It was fun. easy. memorable. And I can’t wait to do another one when the NEW baby comes along.:)

Heather and Brian… thank you for letting me share in your memories. For sharing Gavin with me. I will def babysit… just let me know when.:)
